Team EuroPoker has had very nice weather today in Malta to enjoy their last few hours on the island, with the poker portion of the trip wrapping up late yesterday when Chivazz1 exited in 12th place for a very nice cash of €4,950.

Each of the four Team EuroPoker players were great representatives for the Team here in Malta, with raappahousu and Chivazz1 making it to Day 2 and Chivazz1 coming within a whisker of making the final table in his first major live event.

Hopefully we’ll see them all again at GSOP Live Bucharest, which is the next stop on the very popular first season of the GSOP Live.  The GSOP tournaments are great live events to qualify for, as the $3,000 trip package size means that 10% of the field in the online finals get trips, so it’s an excellent chance for you to join Team EuroPoker and exerience a live event yourself.

Below are just some of the photos of Team EuroPoker in action here over the last few days, as well as some photos of beautiful Malta to show you what you missed:

Sad news here at GSOP Live Malta, as Chivazz1′s run has ended just shy of the final table, with him exiting in 12th place.

He shoved for his last 95,000 chips, only to have a player two seats to his left re-raise. The rest of the table folded and Chivazz1 tabled A9o, which actually wasn’t in terrible shape against his opponent’s pocket sevens.

No help came on the board for our last Team EuroPoker player, but he did at least hang on to move up to the next pay level of €4,955.

Any way you slice it, it’s a great result for both Chivazz1 and Team EuroPoker, as he played very deep into Day 3 and cashed for nearly €4,955 in his first major live event.

Chivazz1 should be very proud of his showing here in Malta

Bad news here at Malta, as Chivazz1 just lost a huge hand to cripple him and knock him down to about 150,000 chips.

Fairly standard cooler, as far as getting it all-in with a shorter stack with pocket nines for our Team EuroPoker man who was unfortunately up against pocket tens and couldn’t get lucky.

With blinds of 8,000/16,000 and a 2,000 ante he’ll have to shove soon now within the next orbit or two. Hopefully Chivazz1 can make a miracle recovery here and get back into the thick of things.

We’ve had a few more eliminations here in Malta, and we’re now down to 14 players left. Chivazz1 is hanging in there with 380,000 chips, so he’s a little below the average stack of 475,000 but with blinds of 8,000/16,000 and a 2,000 ante he’s still got chips to work with.

He’ll be taking home at least €4,247 now, with the next bump up at 12th place (€4,955).

We also had a raappahousu sighting not long ago in the tournament room, as he was still alive in the side event that’s running at the same time.

raappahousu is back in action tonight in the side event

We’re back from the dinner break with cards in the air again, and blinds of 6,000/12,000 and a 1,000 ante. We’ll be playing down to the final table tonight and it’s anyone’s guess exactly how long that will take.

Fingers crossed that Chivazz1 is among the final table players when they bag up chips tonight, as he’s played himself into great position here on Day 3.

Every time Chivazz1 gets a little short on chips he manages to find a way to build back up. He’s right back at average stack with about 325,000, courtesy of an action flop that went Team EuroPoker’s way.

He and a single opponent got it all in on the turn of a 7 7 5 x board, with his opponent bemusedly calling Chivazz1′s shove and muttering something along the lines of “If you’ve got it, you’ve got it” as he tabled Q7 for flopped trips.

Chivazz1 did indeed have it, turning over pocket fives for a flopped full house, and the river blanked to give him a huge pot and get him back up to average stack with just 19 players left.

We’re down to 20 players left here in Malta and Chivazz1 is still among them, sitting on about 220,000 chips. Average stack is now 330,000, though, so he’s got some work ahead of him to keep at or above average stack.

The next money jump is at 18th place, which pays out €3,539 so our last standing Team EuroPoker only has a few bustouts to go before he adds a few more euros to his paycheck.

More good news from Malta, as Chivazz1 had slipped down to around 120,000 but doubled up right before the current break that players are on to get up to just shy of 250,000.  He’s also made another pay jump, and is now guaranteed to collect at least €3,000.

They’re down to the last 26 players, so what was once a full tournament room has dwindled down to just three tables, all trying to reach the final table here at GSOP Live Malta.

Will Chivazz1 have a seat at that final table? Stay tuned to find out.

Players are on break here at GSOP Live Malta, with just 30 players remaining. Chivazz1 is on 170,000 chips at the break, getting as high as 250K at one point before giving some back in a blind on blind situation (he called the small blinds shove with A5s but was up against A7).

He won a decent pot with a set of threes right before the break but it could have been a bigger one as he had to slow down on the river with three clubs and a possible flush out on the board.

Average stack is now 220,000, so he’s a bit below average but still has plenty of chips. The next pay jump is at 27th place, at which point remaining players are guaranteed at least €3,008.

Chivazz1's girlfriend has been tirelessly supporting him for the last two days...hopefully earning a very nice present of some sort from whatever cash he ends up collecting here

Great news so far here in Malta, as not only has Chivazz1 moved up a pay level (he’s now guaranteed at least €2,654 as there are currently 33 players remaining) but he’s up to about 200,o00 chips!

He said he picked up some chips early when he squeezed with AQ with a raiser and a call in front of him, with both surrendering to give him a nice pot. Then he got a nice gift when he shoved with A9 and got looked up by the big blind who held just 10 7, with Chivazz1′s hand holding to push him up to the 200K mark.

Chivazz1's stack has been blooming so far on Day 3
