Just bought myself a pair of these, and they work beautifully. I’m not going to go in on technicalities even though my geekier side really want to, but they are noise cancelling for real – not just isolated.

They sound great, they fit great, they look decent and the cancelling-part works wonders. The only downside I’ve found so far is that they seem to leak sound to the surroundings a bit much, so they guy next to you on the airplane will probably be able to sing along in your songs if you jack up the volume. Not the biggest of problems in my opinion, but if you want something to listen with while your girlfriend sleeps right next to you, you might want to consider buyin in-ear plugs.

I’ve seen many people wear them during the WSOP, and that’s why I got myself a cab today and went to the Bose store here in Vegas try them out. I was instantly sold. They will probably be great while traveling by airplane/car/train since there is lots of ambient noice. I’m also the kind of guy who likes a calm and focused state when grinding, so shutting out outside noice might be an improvement on that part aswell. Anyway, go get yourself a pair if you appreciate great sound or really hate stupid knock knock jokes at the tables in WSOP.

We actually went skydiving indoors yesterday. That’s right, skydiving.

Well, you can’t really give them full credit for calling it skydiving, but it works pretty much the same way. You float around in the air in a fully padded room thanks to a giant fan underneath. Lots of fun even though it was a whole lot harder than we could imagine before trying it out. I’d recommend any healthy person to try it out while in Vegas. It’s right off the strip.

I’m not really the biggest fan of grinding while on vacation. I mean, you can do that at home. On vacation, I usually try to be just that – on vacation. Still, I’ve had quite a crappy month so far. There’s been some great $50-100 action, and I’ve turned out to be on the wrong side of variance most of the times. Still, there’s hope.

That’s why you can see me at the tables pretty frequently these days. I hate booking a loosing month.

Yesterday was one of my worst hangovers ever. Period. In the weakest of moments I actually think a cried a bit, but the morning is a bit blurry. So, the plan for today was total rehab. Rehab for both soul and body. If yesterday was judgement day, this was salvation. It was going to be perfect.

  • I set the  alarm to 09:00.
  • Ordered cleaning to the suite.
  • Skipped roomservice and went down to the resturant for a “protein breakfast”.
  • Went to the gym.
  • Came back to a clean suite and grinded for 2h.
  • Went down to the pool for a swim.
  • Got a 80 min deep tissue massage.
  • Spent 30 minutes in the steam room
  • Came back to the suite and grinded 3h more.
  • Went out to a steak house and drank beer.

Why do I hate my own body so much?

I wouldn’t say that I know that much about partying allover the world, but in my own limited expereince – nothing is even remotely close to Las Vegas. We have only been able to go out three times due to the WSOP-events, but they’ve all been really great and memorable nights. Some way, nights in Vegas usually ends up being that. There must something about Vegas that makes people go crazy. It might be the 24/7 buzz on the streets,  it might be the fact that most people come here to party and have a great time, I don’t know. Anyway, it just makes me love this city even more.

Our first night out we went to Surrender at The Encore. The club is actually placed in the daytime pool area, so there’s really a nice and stylish setting. Thing is, if you combine a pool with drunkass pokerplayers things generally go wrong. It didn’t take long untill propbets emerged on how much it would take for someone to dive into the pool – fully dressed. A couple of drinks later, one of swedens best cashgameplayers dove into the pool for $1k. He started out by stepping out on a platform in the water, and obviously it didn’t take long untill the guards came by to tell that he couldn’t stand out there. So, he basically took their advice word by word and dove straight in. Of course, it wasn’t long before they got him and threw him out, but the rest of us certainly got ourselves a good laugh.

Now I’m getting to bed. If there’s any EuroPoker-players In Vegas right now, don’t hesitate to contact me through the comments on this blog. You are more than welcome to join us for drinks or whatever. Take care, and good night.

Just bubbled out of Event 36 on day 2.  I didn’t post anything about finishing day 1 with a good stack cause I didn’t wanna jinx it. Well, so much for that I guess.

First i got sucked out on quite badly with top pair vs second pair and then, with 20bb left, slowrolled by some chinese woman who could barely see her cards when I jammed 99 in the smallblind vs her buttonraise. After like 15 seconds she finally came to the conclusion that she “had to call” and flipped over two black kings. God damn all retarded live players that’s still in that tournament down at the Rio. The quality of the games is a joke, but I keep on busting on the bubble anyways.

I don’t really know what to do with all the tilt at the moment. There’s so much rage in me, and I’ve got no way of getting all of it out in a healthy fucking way.

Boys and Girls, this is why you keep onlinepoker as your main game.

I just wanted to log in really quick and say that I will be playing Event #36 ($1000 NL). Apparently, there is two starting days, so we are heading over to Rio in 30 min to register.

The structure in these cheaper Wsop-events is quite turbo-ish in the beginning, but as soon as you double up a couple of times there actually gets room for some real poker towards the end of day 1. I other words, let’s hope i survive past dinner break this time :D
